Ok here's the first blog for a while since i've been suffering from blogstipation(writers block). So thats gonna be the subject of this one.
Since i started blogging i've been struggling with what to put. At the start i planned on doing two aweek then it ended up being one, now it's about zero turnout. So far the blogs i've written about have been stuff that i thought people might be intersted in reading, rather than just letting it flow. Also at the last steering group meeting it was also brought up about how the small things tend to spark more enthusiasm in the blogging world, so i'm revising how to go on from here and hopefully get rid of the blogstipation to carry on blogging till my little hearts content.
I'd like to ask for advice and what anyone else does to get through it?

PS- thank nat for blogstipation tis good

Good to see you blogging again. It can be tricky sometimes to think what to write - I have the same problem. Write for yourself, don't think about it too much and let it flow... Go for it!

hi chris,

great to see you blogging again!

and in talking about the blogstipation you've kinda cured it!!! ha ha

you've just got to go with the flow chris, and for fear of sounding a bit naff, just think to yourself if its in you, or on your mind at the time to write something about anything, that in itself makes it important and interesting!
if ya get me!

We all listen to our inner critic far too much - that little voice that says "That's not good enough" or "No-one will be interested in that".

It's like drawing a picture. Our brains intervene and try to get us to draw what we think something looks like instead of whatever is in front of us.

Yes, there will be some people who aren't interested, but that will happen no matter what you write. But equally, there will be people who are interested, and you'll be surprised just how many there are!

You might find it useful to keep a note somewhere of ideas for blogposts, so that you can just jot things down when they occur to you, and go back to them when you're ready.

I use Blogger to do this, and save it as a draft Blogpost. That way, they're always at hand when I'm writing posts.

thanks for the advice alec i'll definately try putting blog ideas down or on blogger.

not sure if it will help - I ofetn wake early and lie in bed with stuff going round in my head - I now consciously think those ideas into a post for my blog.
Once I've started actually writing ideas for other posts float into my head - I save these ideas as titles in the blog list (as drafts).
Whatever it's really good to see you blogging - Tone
